This was my 3rd trip to Tahoe. I’ve enjoyed every trip and I had Jody Kasch as my Ski Instructor. She is phenomenal and improved my skiing tremendously. I have had over 8 instructors the last 3 years and Jody is #1 by far!

This was my first time ever snowboarding so I took a lesson. I missed the early morning session so I kind of goofed around with my girlfriend until my session began. I couldn’t have been more pleased that I was with all the people I talk to. It reminded me of when I took my kids to Disneyland, every employee was very attentive and always willing to help. The facilities were clean. My snowboard instructor, Wade, made my learning experience very satisfying. All in all it was a great trip and I look forward to returning.

Great snow making Combined with natural still gives excellent coverage for early-season. In addition, we had private instruction from Pat and LeeLee on our first two days and they were excellent! We are able to be skiing at our normal level by the second day.
Our coach Tim was highly experienced and made a considerable effort to positively motivate each of the group of 5. He gave personal attention to each member and everyone had a great experience as a result.
Steve Scott and Gordon were excellent ski instructors.
I had the best ski lesson with Dave Babcock. He was a great teacher, who quickly understood exactly where I was at and gave me the most helpful tips. I started off the lesson in a wedge and by the end of an hour, I was skiing parallel. His techniques are easy to remember/practice and gets me in the right posture to be a better skier. Dave is so thoughtful, and his lesson made my day! It feels amazing to be able to learn something and have it really click quickly. He is the best instructor I’ve ever had and will go back to him when I’m ready to work on the next thing.

Kat was such a great teacher, and I had plenty of time to use the noobie hills with the magic carpet and grab-onto-the-handle pully thing to practice what I learned in the ski lesson. I do wish the lesson was longer and taught me more of the skiing basics like how to do more than turn left, or like, actually stop effectively, but other than that, great.

Friendly staff – private class coach Lee Lee, lady at counter where I signed disclaimer forms, gentlemen who found our boots and skis, ladies at the rental shop.
Walter Eagan, Andy Samms and Ty were great at the ski school.
Instructors Dave and Nate were amazing!
I took a class with Bob Haas. He was one of the best coaches I have had in a long time. He adapted to my skill level and understood how to give feedback so that my skiing could improve. Indeed, I felt like I was skiing much better after the group class.
Great customer service by Thomas Duysters our ski instructor and Theresa working in the parking lot. Convenient to everything with the Gondola. Great shuttle service. Competitive costs when convenience factored in. EZ to rent equipment. Couldn’t have been more convenient. The skiing was nice too. Runs well groomed.

Our instructor Lee Lee was amazing!! Was able to teach kids and adults in the same lesson with great efficiency. We will be back because of her and the rest of your staff. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Keep up the good work!!

We had a private lesson with Kory (California). Unfortunately I don’t remember his last name, but he was born and raised in Lake Tahoe. We had a wonderful experience although a little more expensive than booking ski school and adult lessons, having a private instructor to focus in all 4 of us that had never skied worked great. Korey is truly a wonderful person, he speaks excellent Spanish and he is extremely nice and helpful as well as an excellent instructor. We really want to put a nice word in his behalf. Although there was a blizzard and the mountain closed earlier and we didn’t get to do all that was planned we feel we made a lot of progress. He has a great disposition, a lot of patience and good sense of humor.
David Caputo was excellent- really inspirational for the children.
Ours sons ski instructors, Nicolas and Augustina (both from Argentina) were excellent and do so well teaching young kids.

Matthew and Brian at the kids ski school were amazing.
We had another family visiting with us and they accidentally booked private lessons for their kids instead of a group lesson. Kyle Jarratt helped us fix everything in the morning. I was beyond amazed at how helpful and resourceful he was. He was able to find us in the crowd around the Gondola multiple times in the morning and even recognized me later in the day near the Tamarack Lodge later in the day and asked how things were going! Jean Brown was my ski school instructor and she did such a fantastic job with my group lesson that I fully intend to continue to learn to ski (no small feat at 40)! One of my son’s had Abbey and Danny, he loved Danny so much he made me go back to the ski school on our last day in town just to give Danny his tip (we weren’t skiing that day). Maclean & Juan were the instructors for my other son and they were also fantastic. Ur ski school operation and staff continue to impress us. We keep coming back with friends so they can also see how gr8 u r!

We had the best coach for family/private lessons. Mili was very patient with our family, especially with one of our sons. We highly recommend her to any family who requires first time ski lessons, or needs a refresher course. She was amazing!

Our instructor, Tad, was terrific. He was clearly knowledgeable and made sure throughout the entire day that we were making progress and enjoying our experience.
Ash Hickson was our private group snowboard coach. A family of total newbies to the sport, Ash was patient, fun, personable & all around great at what he does. We were with him the entire day and we couldn’t be happier that our family’s first snowboarding experience was with Ash. Great guy, great teacher.

Sandra (Sandy) was a really great ski instructor. It was my first time skiing and she took her time to show me the basics. She encouraged me to come out of my comfort zone once she saw I had picked up the concept and did this without being pushy. I never once felt unsafe. I felt very comfortable with her and I learned a ton. Went out on my own on day 2 and felt great! Thank you Sandy. Highly recommend her to anyone!
Tim Mackey. He was an amazing snowboard instructor. We had ages 6-33 and he was great with all ages. Even took the time to give us some extra pointers when the day was over. I would say best snowboard instructor we have ever had. Amazing!
I took private lessons with Adam Goldstein and Ashley (do not remember his last name), they were extremely good coaches for me and my family.

Bruce our beginner ski instructor truly made the experience memorable and taught us confidence in learning to ski. I was amazed that in my first day of skiing in my life i was able to learn to ski down the poma trail with control and confidence. I hope to take the level 2 course on my return and I will request Bruce if possible.
We had family ski lessons for a day. Gordon (don’t remember last name) was excellent and very patient. We advanced well through the day and he helped us to improve through several levels of the “score card” by the end of the day. Would use him again to advance further.
SEAN at the SKI SCHOOL was great.
My 2nd day lesson with Jean was great. Jean was caring and a good teacher. I enjoyed my time on the mountain. The staff in the rental area were great.

The coaches at the Cal Lodge are wonderful. Brian Ludlow, the ski school manager, is very knowledgeable and always ready to help. Gavin and David Caputo are amazing coaches that considerably helped my son to improve his skiing. Every year we come back to Heavenly because of them.

Dave from Erie, Pennsylvania was my first ski instructor and the attentiveness and care he had was reassuring! Adam taught my 2nd class and I’ve never learned so much in such a small amount of time. He listened to what we were feeling and I appreciate his passion for his job!
Lopaka Matthews tailored a great lesson based on my skill level and needs. I hope to progress through the rest of the Academy with him as my instructor.
Greg Lyons is a great instructor and took his time with us for a great skiing experience.
Well I had lesson from Steve and he gave us every minute of the 2 1/2 hours. I got so much out of it. I cannot wait to Return and have another lesson. The snow was awesome all the people that work up at the resort are so kind!

Richard, the Ski Instructor Supervisor, was fantastic! Richard displayed tremendous knowledge about the various ski slopes and options available – I was impressed with his expertise. It is Instructors like Richard who make us loyal customers that encourage us to come back to Heavenly Ski Resort from time to time.
The scores was based on the service we received! From check-in, at Base to our instructor, Ash, the service was terrific. Our instructor, Ash was excellent. He was patient, enjoyed teaching, and encouraging.
I had my first ski lesson this weekend. My instructor was Evan Jacobsen and he did an amazing job teaching us the skills we needed to go on the slopes. My friends and I had no trouble getting down the slopes and we owe that all to him! We would definitely request Evan Jacobsen as an instructor in the future!

Lee Lee, our personal coach for the day, was spectacular and made the whole day a real pleasure as we got to watch our son learn how to ski. I highly recommend her to families that want to learn together. She was great!

I took a 2nd timer snowboard lesson with Seth and he was phenomenal! Despite a mix-up on my end (I was too advanced for a second-timer lesson), Seth was able to assist me in honing my snowboard technique by teaching me C- and S-turns. He was patient, encouraging, and I found it extremely easy to follow his directions. Overall, a fantastic lesson and I would highly recommend Seth to friends in the future.
It was a wonderful experience! Despite the place being packed, the employees managed to control traffic and happily assist everyone. Our instructor, Dave, was great! He taught us first-timers how to ski. He was entertaining and was very good at teaching. I am definitely looking forward to visiting again next season.
My most recent instructor was Rhys Wiski-Sutton and he was SO patient and helpful!! The staff in rentals fitted me and got me out with my equipment in minutes and the return was even MORE convenient. Heavenly is my FAVORITE place to ski and I look forward to my next adventure with you very soon!!
I took a ski lesson from Steven, which was extremely helpful. I was having trouble safely riding steeper hills and Steven helped a lot to conquer that issue.
I took two full day lessons with Deon who was a really great instructor.

Our ski instructor, Greg Lyons, is outstanding. We trust him with our children and have worked with him for 7 years. We are very loyal and happy to continue working with Greg.

I took a lesson with John D’Aintree. We had a very significant split in the ability of the group but he handled it the best he could, and made sure everyone had a good time.

Blake from the snowboard lessons was really fantastic. We found all the lesson staff to be very helpful and that was the reason we took lessons all three days we were there. We also felt that the perk of skipping the line for the gondola was extremely helpful and worth the extra cost!

We had Connor for our adult lesson. He made a point to know everyone’s name and built us all up and really made us excited for the experience.

It was a great first time skiing for our kids. The ski and ride school was perfect for their caliber and age. Augustina was professional, responsive, and put us at ease knowing they were getting the proper and fun lessons.
Rhys Wiski-Sutton was our instructor. He was very patient and kind. He took extra care to teach us what we needed to know to have a fun time and most importantly to be safe.
I had a great time skiing at Heavenly. It was my first time skiing and Peter Nocka was my instructor. He is a great instructor and I was able to ski well and had a great time skiing down Patsy’s multiple times.

My wife worked with instructor Rhys Wiski in her second ski lesson and he was very personable and helpful. After her first lesson she was frustrated and didn’t know if she was capable or if she wanted to even continue, but after her second lesson she was getting off the lift and skiing with confidence.

My instructor for the group lesson was awesome! I could look up his name but he was the one from Austria with kids and grandkids that also ski on the mountain with him. He was very personable and informative. I had not been on skis and over 20 years but he had me going down the blues with no problem. (George Eisenstecken)

I had a great lesson with Hal in a perfectly placed group of intermediate skiers. I would have done that lesson everyday if I could guarantee such a well-placed group.

Diana did my last lesson before I left and she encouraged me to go up Gunbarrel and do Patsy’s run. I was terrified but she was with me the whole way and it was amazing.
Devon is a fantastic instructor. Our sons loved him and made tones of progress within two days.
Ellen Johnson is the best! We love her as an instructor. She was fantastic teaching me to ski years ago, and now my son has had a great time with her the past two seasons. She keeps us coming back to Heavenly and to the ski school. Please make sure she knows she’s appreciated!
Instructors are top notch. Ash was great with my kids. If not for him, we would probably be visiting a mountain more suitable for our kids.
My snowboarding instructor Ian Bruyere was wonderful. He put me at ease, was a pleasure to spend 2 hours with and helped my confidence and skill on the mountain immensely in a short time. I would love to take a second lesson with him.

Gordon Bentley, our instructor at the Heavenly Ski School was incredible. He was the highlight of our experience and was excellent in every way. A dedicated, patient instructor who was genuinely interested in helping his clients improve their skiing. He was understanding, would help everyone around him, was endlessly patient and just great to be around. He was polite, friendly, would go above and beyond in every situation to assist us in his group and all visitors around him. He helped us up when we fell, always provided encouragement and was passionate about skiing and was always motivating us. Gordon’s attitude and focus on customers is exemplary and hope that more of Heavenly’s staff could learn from him and exemplify his awesome attitude. We would return to Heavenly to learn more from Gordon and have him as an instructor again.

Loved the resort, particularly skiing with Andy Samms – he helped both my husband (intermediate) and me (advanced) with our technique and was a great guide to the mountain.
Our instructor, Hayley Wallmark, was excellent and is an extraordinary person.

Glen in the ski school gave a great lesson and I really enjoyed the class.
Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. But mostly, my children enjoyed their Ski School instructor, Lakota Wright, so much that they were actually crying when they had to leave him on the last day. That speaks volumes to me on a wonderful staff and ski school.
Instructor Steve Maxwell is beyond amazing going above and beyond to meet all of our family’s needs. Even checked in with us and helped with arrangements after we had stopped taking lessons from him.
Jesse Chen was a great snowboard instructor for our teenage daughter. Our experience was heavenly!!
We had a wonderful experience with ski school for our little ones (especially with Jack Davidson) and everyone that helped us was fantastic and accommodating. We will be back, but not next year – it is a long way for us (from Texas) but we def plan to come back!
I then took a private lesson with your instructor, Gordon Bentley, and he was The perfect ambassador for heavenly. What I learned about skiing that day is (without any doubt) life changing. My face hurt from smiling so much from all the fun I was having. I gained so much and most of all the confidence I needed her feel safe and in control. Gordon was kind, supportive, so knowledgeable, and a consummate professional. I can’t imagine ever wanting to go somewhere else — except to use the skills Gordon taught me. He is a huge asset and I hope he stays on for a long time. I will return to take another lesson if it from him.
Instructor Lee Gilbert was incredible. She worked well with the whole family and made it a unique and exciting experience.

This was my first time snow skiing and I can’t even imagine being another place. The resort was phenomenal, trainer amazing (Austin), everything around it was as well, restaurants, shops, people. Can’t say enough!
